On May 7, 2026, the kickoff meeting for the "Product Development and Simulation System" project jointly undertaken by Jingye Group and Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd. ,USTB (DRI,USTB) was grandly held in Shijiazhuang. Attendees included Zhang Yongjun, Dean of IET,USTB and Vice Chairman of DRI,USTB, Jing Fengwei, Deputy General Manager of DRI,USTB, Liu Hude, Deputy General Manager of Jingye Group, Chen Lijie, Deputy General Manager and General Manager of High-Grade Steel Division, Wang Chaoyang, Deputy General Manager, He Jinmin, Dong Alun and Jiang Xinghui from the Intelligent Information Department, Lu Sujing, Director of the Technology Research Center, as well as persons in charge and core technical backbones of relevant business units.

Zhang Yongjun first expressed gratitude to Jingye Group for its trust and support. He pledged that DRI,USTB will deploy top-tier resources, rely on its technical strengths and professional services in digital material R&D, fully support Jingye Group’s high-quality development goals, and help the enterprise achieve new breakthroughs in R&D.
Wang Chaoyang put forward specific requirements for project implementation. He emphasized that the project should follow the principle of "launch one module once fully mature", implement phased rollout of functional modules, continuously collect user feedback and conduct iterative optimization to ensure the system aligns with Jingye’s actual production conditions and effectively boost R&D and process management efficiency.
Chen Lijie fully recognized the strategic importance of the project, calling for enhanced dashboard functions to facilitate real-time tracking of R&D layout and progress and support data-driven R&D decision-making. He required all relevant parties to mobilize full resources to guarantee smooth project progress.
Liu Hude highly affirmed the professional capabilities of DRI,USTB and the results of previous cooperation. He demanded close collaboration between both teams, in-depth research and investigation focusing on core project objectives, efficient advancement of all construction tasks, and timely launch of the system to comprehensively boost Jingye Group’s product R&D efficiency and improve the consistency and stability of product quality.
The "Product Development and Simulation System" project serves as a key strategic initiative for Jingye Group to target high-end markets and advance digital transformation, as well as a critical innovation-driven practice for its core steel business. Covering full production lines of steelmaking, hot rolling and cold rolling for high-grade steel, the project centers on new product development to comprehensively support continuous improvement of product development and process stability, injecting strong impetus into the enterprise’s high-quality development.
