On August 31, 2026, Jiangsu Shagang Group Huaigang Special Steel Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "Huaigang") and Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd., USTB (hereinafter "DRI, USTB") grandly convened the kickoff meeting for the "Smart R&D Management System" project in Huai'an, Jiangsu. Qian Hongjian, General Manager of Huaigang, Zeng Lingyu, Chief Engineer, and Zhou Sijun, Deputy General Manager of Production, together with Jing Fengwei, Deputy General Manager of DRI, USTB, and relevant business responsible persons and technical backbones, attended the meeting.

General Manager Qian Hongjian emphasized that the launch of the Smart R&D Management System project marks a further deepening of the strategic cooperation between the two sides and opens an important chapter in Huaigang's full-link digital and intelligent transformation of production, R&D, and quality. He pointed out that the R&D system must both anchor forward innovation and deeply cultivate reverse review, extracting true knowledge from every failed case and turning "trial and error" into a ladder of "advancement," thereby continuously consolidating R&D capabilities and injecting stronger momentum into high-quality development.

Chief Engineer Zeng Lingyu emphasized that the construction of the Smart R&D Management System project is a key step for Huaigang to accelerate digital, informatized, and intelligent transformation, with far-reaching significance. He required all departments to closely focus on the core tasks of system construction, tighten responsibilities and refine measures to ensure that all deployments are implemented and effective; at the same time, from the strategic height of product structure optimization and efficient R&D capability improvement, taking the first-phase project as a starting point, he called for united efforts and excellence to complete the construction tasks to high standards, injecting strong impetus into Huaigang's high-quality development.

Deputy General Manager Jing Fengwei thanked Huaigang for its trust and support, stating that DRI, USTB will go all out to ensure the rapid implementation of the project. At the same time, he put forward clear requirements for the project team: strengthen internal and external communication and collaboration, adhere to planning before acting, and ensure implementation quality with thorough planning, living up to the client's entrustment.

The official launch of Huaigang's "Smart R&D Management System" is another important move by Shagang Group in the digital-intelligent transformation of the R&D field, following the "Product R&D–Production–Quality Integration Project" of Fushun Special Steel. This marks that the group's smart R&D system has entered the comprehensive promotion stage from "pilot first" to "replication and deepening."
