The Institute of Engineering Technology, University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB) (hereinafter referred to as “Institute”) has two national science and technology innovation platforms-the National Engineering Research Center for Advanced Rolling Technology (NERCAR) and the National Engineering Research Center of Flat Rolling Equipment (NERCFRE), and one national high-tech enterprise-Engineering Research Institute of USTB Co., Ltd. The Institute will continue to innovate the system and its mechanisms, conduct scientific research, further develop and transform our technology. On the basis of both the original steel production process and the scientific and technological innovation as well as engineering services, it aims to meet the major needs of our country and its steel industry. The Institute will expand relevant fields, improve original innovation capabilities, and improve the level of research result transformation, to realize the Made in China 2025 goal.
