Established in 1987, Engineering Research Institute of USTB Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) is a national high-tech enterprise established by USTB. As a wholly-owned subsidiary of USTB, it has Class A design certification in the metallurgical industry, Class B certification in environmental engineering (i.e. water pollution control engineering) and has passed ISO9001 certification. Focused on meeting the country’s major strategic requirements, as well as sustainable development requirements of industry enterprises, the Company integrates innovation and application technology development, engineering, and industrialization of relevant scientific research achievements based on related disciplines of USTB. It contributes towards improving the technical equipment and technological process of enterprises, and provides technology consulting and training for senior engineering talents.

The Company has over 30 senior technicians, with more than 60% of the staff having a Ph.D in metallurgical engineering, materials science and engineering, control science and engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science and technology, logistics engineering and other disciplines. It mainly provides: (1) engineering design for technology, equipment, EIC and other aspects for Chinese and international metal enterprises; (2) whole-chain automatic control system for cold and hot mills; (3) equipment for controlled rolling and accelerated cooling system; (4) surface quality online detection system; (5) integrated design of small and medium complete rolling equipment; (6) R&D and application of environmental protection technology; and (7) promotion, transfer, consulting and services related to scientific research achievements.
